I love using multiple weapon sets.

My warrior:
set 1 - zealous sword of defense for sword builds
set 2 - zealous axe of defense for axe builds
set 3 - cheap quest item longbow for pulling (it was free )

i have other weapons in my storage that i use for the last slot depending on what build or setup that i might need that isnt already covered

My monk:

set 1 - holy rod and stoneheart for healing
set 2 - same holy rod and wroths icon

depending on what the party needs i can go heal or prot or a hybrid. if i do hybrid, i switch all the time from heal to prot and back.

My ranger:

set 1 - firey short bow of fort
set 2 - sundering ivory bow of defense (main)
set 3 - sundering long bow of fort

I use these for different ranges and such depending on where the enemies run too or where im positioned in the party when attacking or for pulling monsters.

So having multiple weapons does have uses and a reason as to why i use them, but thats just me and my reasons for my weapons I have multiple helms/face masks/scalp designs that are carried in my storage for whatever build/char setup the party needs.

Sometimes, I find myself carrying multiple weapons in PvE just because I can

For PvP, I carry a weapon/offhand for each situation I think I might encounter

I agree weapon sets are a good thing. I mainly run them fr my Ranger right now as he is the Toon I play the most and have put the most thought into.

Set 1: Poisoners Ascalon Bow of Fortitude (This is my main and it is the Composite bow Version)
Set 2: Ascalon Bow (This is the shortbow. I dont use it much because I dont have mods for it yet)
Set 3: Poisoners Stormbow of Fortitude(Used for pulling)
Set 4: The +13 staff I use for trapping

#4 I mainly use in the UW but its there incase I need it and so I dont have to remember to switch back to it before each UW run.

I also like changing my build around a lot. Plus, I switch from my +15 -1 regen wand to a insightful staff in between battles to regen energy faster.

I do the same, but I strafe by holding right mouse button + A or D.

you can give items to your pvp characters...just don't delete them without removing your fav 15^50 crystaline sword

Another aspect (didn't see it in my scan of the thread) is the practicality of range....IE.....If a Ranger hits my warrior with a pindown and starts running away from me....I will try and prevent any "free" health regen by swapping into my wand/bow and plinking him/her a few times as they retreat....at least it resets them for a moment that way.

I suggest you try out the ebon or fire bow on heavy armoured monsters, i.e. warriors. You'll get 15-20% armour penetration 100% of the time, instead of 10% at 10% chance

I do that too, I have even learned to run in a real circle with a combination of qwd, or ewa.

Warrior:
Sundering of Enchanting (my basic, all purpose axe)
Zealous of Defense (When I have an energy-heavy build)
Longbow (pull supremo)
Candy Cane Axe (req'less damage for when I have no mastery ex: SF tanking)

Ranger:
Longbow
Recurve Bow
Halfmoon
Staff (energy)

Monk:
Staff w/ enchant mod
+30/-2 wand/offhand
sword and shield energy hiding set
regular wand + offhand

Just a convenience factor for me. Pressing F1 isnt all that hard.
